I have been working in the company for 15 years and was made MD in 2016. I head up a team specialising in the creation of kitchens and restaurants largely for our public sector clients working in Education, Healthcare, MOD/MOJ and staff restaurants in various businesses and industries. I have had a long career within the commercial kitchen industry creating great commercial kitchens and restaurants are a given for us all but I regard myself a specialist working with our clients in prison catering and those serving military bases.
During my career, I was made responsible for these sectors and during that time established lots of contacts and was very proud to be a part of the design of the first Clink Charity Rehabilitation Kitchen for prisoners.
My working relationships have continued to grow over the years and continue to do so, I have contributed to over £40,000,000 of both new and refurbished prison kitchens and serveries, they all vary in size and complexity ranging from £40k to £4,000,000 having a great team behind me has help WhitCo achieve this success and continued growth within the sector.
I am now consulting and working on the new Titan Super Prisons as well as modernising existing ones to meet current needs, soon our first electric prison will commence. I take a particular interest in this field; I know the requirements of the prison service and its caterers very well and the diverse challenges and demands put on them.
As my projects have grown so have my relationships with both caterers and the builders contracted to build these new prisons, WhitCo’s reputation has been built on trust, professional service and the quality of the products that it specifies, all parties trust us to deliver their projects on time, in budget and most importantly compliant with complete customer satisfaction.
